Spicing up a menu design for Da House of Jerk

Da House of Jerk is a restaurant in the Toronto area offering many popular Jamaican dishes at reasonable prices. Their menu features Curry Goat, Signature Jerk Fish, Ox Tail, Jerk Chicken Alfredo and much more.

Restaurant reviewers comment that their soups are “amazing” and alternating daily – although the chef loves to cook Fish Tea: “One taste and you’ll know why,” said a customer named Hang, of Whitby, “If you love Jamaican soup, try this place out – you won’t be disappointed.” Da House of Jerk was looking for a fresh menu design to go along with their positive feedback.

The new menu was created to visually display their large selection of dishes in a professional yet fun – and appetizing – way. With plenty of bright and creative Food Photography by Nathalie Atanda, this brightly-coloured menu design has helped raise the profile of Da House of Jerk.

Menu Design highlighting healthy eating

Karine’s is a very successful small-business that runs a Vegan, Vegetarian and All-Day Breakfast downtown Toronto. After the business had established itself in its new location, it was time to extend their image and brand beyond their new website and business cards.

Originally, the business listed their extensive menu offerings on white-boards written in black marker, fitting their home-made charm. To highlight some of their most popular items to new patrons, Karine’s requested a series of signs for their specials. The signs below are now up at their busy business inside the Village by the Grange Food Court.

Small signs labelling their daily fresh baked goods were also created for consistency and increased readability.
